I’m a sucker for a good getaway. It’s literally what I live for in life. Since I’m in the PNW (Pacific Northwest), that usually leaves me looking for rentals and cabins in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. And while I love a good friends trip just as much as the next person, nothing quite hits the spot (innuendo intended) as a romantic hideaway with the boo.
So, to help you plan your next PNW getaway featuring maximum cute cozy vibes, I’ve rounded up the coolest cabins in Washington for a romantic stay with your heartthrob.

Lakefront Retreat in Chelan

The lakefront cabin in Chelan is one of the best cabins in Washington for couples and a romantic getaway. It is located right on the shore of Lake Chelan, just north of Leavenworth and 30 minutes from the town of Chelan. There is no WiFi or cell service (though there is a line that can access 911 for emergencies), so you can get completely unplug and disconnect here! The interior of the cabin is bright, with a modern washer and dryer in the bathroom. There are no steps or stairs to get into the property, however the short trail to the lake behind the house is very steep.
Log Cabin in La Conner
Price: ~$117
If you’re looking for the classic cabins in Washington look, here you go. It’s a cute rustic log cabin, with heated stone floors, outdoor BBQ, an (electric) fireplace, hammock, and even a reading nook! It is about 10 minutes outside of La Conner, so it’s a quick stop into town for shopping and restaurants. There are also tons of outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking.
A-Frame Hideaway in Packwood
Price: ~$229/night
A-frame rentals are all the rage, especially among cabins in Washington. Packwood is close to a ski resort, so it is an amazingly cozy rental in the winter, though there are plenty of activities to enjoy in warmer months as well! One of the main draws to this cabin is the immense amount of natural light that comes into the property. Normally, I’m not much of a creek gal, but the sound IS super relaxing and calming! For an additional fee, pets are also allowed!
Forest Hideaway in Ashland
Price: ~$164/night

Hot Tub!!!
This cabin is only 1 mile outside of Mt. Rainier National Park, and surrounded by both wildflowers and wildlife! Nature lovers will enjoy hanging out in the outdoor BBQ area, and waking up to deer in the front lawn. It is also close to one of the area’s most iconic restaurants, thought due to being right off the main road to the National Park, there may be highway noise. Good to keep in mind for light sleepers.
Tin Cabin in Port Angeles
Price: ~$127/night

Close to another National Park, this cabin in Washington may be unassuming from the outside, but the inside is inside is decked out with thoughtful touches and homey decor. Outside of the cabin, there are fun outdoor activities in the “campsite” area, like volley ball, horseshoes, basketball! So whether you want to explore Olympic National Park, or stay close by for your trip, you have plenty of options. I also love that they include insider tips for hiking and restaurant suggestions!
Tiny Home in Glenwood

Ground Treehouse in Ferndale
Price: ~$175/night
If you are looking to REALLY be one with nature, this is one of the best cabins in Washington! It is built around a tree, the 4-foot-wide Western Red Cedar passes directly through the middle of the Treehouse without a single bolt driven into it. However, because the sustainable aspect of this stay, I want to give you a heads up for the bathroom situation. You will have to use an outhouse and outdoor shower, buuuut wouldn’t that just bring you even closer together as a couple? Waking up to birds chirping and squirrels hopping through the trees is just one of life’s many small pleasures. Also, how often do you get that authentic cedar aroma in an Airbnb??
Hobbit Hole in Orondo
Price: ~$400/night
If you really want a WOW moment, head no further than this Hobbit Hole in Orondo. The decoration is SO ON POINT, and charming, and the views of the mountains through the windows (and really from any direction on the property) is remarkable. It is the perfect romantic cabin in Washington for an unforgettable getaway. Literally, this cabin is like it was plucked straight from the Lord of the Rings universe. You don’t even have to travel all the way to New Zealand! That said, I want to point out that it is not the most accessible place, as the property is about a 100 meter distance from the parking area, but it is considerably steep.
Bay Views in Olga
Price: ~$320/night

I absolutely love Orcas Island, and I know you will too! This cabin is right on the water, so the floor to ceiling windows let in an incredible amount of light as well as offer unobstructed views of the bay. There are lots of thoughtful touches inside, as well as a wrap-around deck with a BBQ and lounge chairs outside. If you want to head out on the town, there are a plethora of things to do on Orcas Island, from hiking to kayaking to whale watching! There are also some great farm-to-table restaurants in town as well! Pets are also allowed for an additional fee.
Treetop Escape in Vashon
Price: ~$295/night
If you really want to lose yourself in the trees, you gotta look upwards for these cabins in Washington! This treehouse in Vashon is a true glamping experience, so expect a compost toilet and an outdoor cooking area. So with expectations set to “camping” instead of hotel, you will also be treated to incredible views and songbirds frolicking in the canopies. The host provides tons of local tips and suggestions on where to eat in the nearby town. It is extremely peaceful and rejuvenating, with views of both forest and the calming oceanside. Plus, how often do you get to relive your childhood treehouse dreams??
A-Frame Retreat in Leavenworth
Price: ~$150/night
And finally, rounding out these cabins in Washington with another picturesque A-frame near Leavenworth, one of the coolest small towns in Washington, especially in the winter! Since the cabin is essentially a studio, the entire space is open-concept and well-lit from the large windows making up the front side of the cabin. Pets are allowed (fee), and there are lots of cozy activities to cuddle up with, such as movies and board games. Or you could venture out into town, only 15 minutes away, and check out all the fun things to do in Leavenworth!
