How to Get Stuck in a Museum Box

In case you were wondering how you to get stuck in a box in front of a ton of people in a museum, follow this simple recipe that I have perfected:’
STEP #1: FIND A BOX
A simple first step, you must find a box to get stuck in. The particular box I chose was an exhibit from The Alive Museum in Seoul, South Korea.
STEP #2: INVESTIGATE THE BOX
Now, this box looked very boxy. It looked like a good box. A box that would be good to climb inside. I looked around, and there were no other people trying to get inside. This would be a foul proof plan.
STEP#3: CLIMB INSIDE OF THE BOX
I climbed inside the box.

STEP #4: SOLIDIFY PRESENCE INSIDE THE BOX
Feet first, I wiggled my way inside. I nestled into place, exhaling all of my problems away. My legs hugged my body, and for once, I felt complete. This was what happiness felt like.

STEP #5: UNSUCCESSFULLY ATTEMPT TO LEAVE THE BOX
After a couple of seconds, I figured it was time to get out. I put my hands on the side of the box and lifted.

I went absolutely nowhere.

I tried again, and in a strange realm of physics, it was almost like I sunk deeper into the box.
STEP #6: PANIC
I felt my chest tighten as the clock to the rest of my life ticked away, my ears were ringing, my palms were sweaty knees weak arms spaghetti I didn’t know what I was going to do. I was going to die in this box. This was my death.
In a box.
In an interactive museum.

STEP #7: CALL FOR HELP
I screamed, yelled, cried. I still had so many places I wanted to go: Bali, Thailand, Greece, Colorado (so I can steal a mattress from my roommate back in boulder). I still had so many cute restaurants I wanted to badly Instagram. This was not supposed to be my end.
STEP #8: WATCH YOUR FRIENDS LAUGH
They laughed.

STEP #9: ACCEPT THAT YOU WILL BE INSIDE BOX FOREVER
Day 62….children leave food offerings so that I will not starve. This is my new life.
